Only 3 schools are left. I found out that one of the schools I decided to not put in a secondary application in has a post-baccalaureate program for underserved and educationally disadvantaged applicants. Apparently, having to work your way through college qualifies one to be considered "educationally disadvantaged." It is for the 2006-2007 school year, with the understanding, I think, that I would make up any deficiencies during that first year and then enter medical school in the Fall of 2007. I think there is also a $10,000 per year stipend that is available.

The other two schools are Harvard and Des Moines University. I suppose that by the end of March I should know if I will be going to medical school this fall, or not. I hope that I will.
